What is IAM file?
The IAM file is an inventor assembly file which contains all of the data used to manufacture a product. The IAM file includes preferred manufacturing locations, part numbers, and other information used by the manufacturer during production. It also includes a sketch of the product which is used to control manufacturing processes.
