The UPS file extension was created in 1985 by the United Parcel Service, an American logistics company. It was created for their software application called “UPS Works”. This is a Microsoft Works file type. A Microsoft Works document is saved with the extension .WPS or .WKS. A Microsoft Works document can be opened in Windows, Mac OS X, and Apple iOS devices
