What is MPE file?
The MPE file extension is a multimedia file format used to store video and audio recordings. It is also known as MPEG Movie File. MPE files are used in the MPEG-2 Part 2, or ISO/IEC 13818-2 standard for digital video recording that defines the structure of compressed bitstreams for use in both analog television broadcasting and digital storage media. MPE has been replaced by .AVI, now commonly used to denote all video formats.
