GP File Type
The guitar pro file extension is .gp5. This extension carries the data that a user enters as well as what the guitar plays. There are three sections in the GP file:nFirst, it has a header which includes information about the song and how it was created.nSecond, there is an XML list of values which includes all of the sounds used in the song. Third, there is data for each individual sound which includes its own amplitude, panning, and other values.
