What is SMC file?
The file extension .SMC stands for Super Nintendo Game ROM. It is a file type that was introduced in 1996. It is not supported by the most modern operating systems and is usually stored on a floppy disk or CD-ROM. It is used to store data from games for the Nintendo Super NES and the Nintendo 64 consoles, which came out in 1992 and 1996 respectively. MAME (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) supports this format and it can be easily opened with MAME32k2 or MAME32k1 frontends.
