What is PTX file?
PTX is an extension used for file type in Pro Tools 10, which is a software used to edit and record music. PTX files contain the session file as well as all the data such as audio tracks, automation, and patterns. PTX files are created by opening a module of Pro Tools 10 and recording it. The original data can be exported from the PTX file after it has been recorded. Pro Tools 10 uses a terminal command called ‘make’ to create a new PTX file and save it as project folder.
