What is LY file?
LilyPond is a music notation program that uses Lisp-based markup. LilyPond is one of the best programs out there, and it produces extremely high-quality files. I use LilyPond to create my own sheet music, which I then export as a LY file. A LY file contains all the information about the score in text format, including notes, chords and dynamics.
