What is LDF file?
The LDF file extension is a common Microsoft SQL Server database transaction log. This file contains the contents of all changes made to your database and it's created daily by default. The LDF file extension is also used as a backup for the transaction log. The LDF file can be accessed either through SQL Server Management Studio or through Transact-SQL commands
