JFIF stands for Joint Photographic Experts Group, a group whose goal is to make digital photography more accessible. JFIF is an image file format used for digital photography. The JPEG File Interchange file is a container format for lossless and lossy compressed images used by the Joint Photography Experts Group (JPEG) which supports both discrete cosine transform (DCT) and quantization table transformations.
