What is CSHTML file?
The .cshtml file extension is the file extension for Microsoft's ASP.NET Razor files. The file extension is recognized by Microsoft's Visual Studio 2012 and 2015, which are used to compile Razor files. It is not recognized by any other software, so it cannot be opened using any other software than VS or VS 2015. The .cshtml file extension has been widely used in the past, but its usage has faded since Microsoft introduced Visual Studio 2012 and 2015 in November 2011.
