What is CMP file?
The Microsoft Compression Library (MS-CMP) was originally developed by Microsoft. It is a compression library that uses the LZW compression algorithm. The format of a PKWare Compression Library file is similar to that of a Zip archive, but it follows the PkWare Compression Library specification instead. This file type can contain data from multiple files and folders as both files and folders inside this file are compressed into a single file.
