What is BDM file?
A BDM file extension is a file format for storing and exchanging digital automotive (AVHCD) information. The BDM file format uses XML and other technologies to store the data. BDM files are often used by automotive manufacturers, dealerships, and technicians to share information about a vehicle. Other use cases include insurance companies sharing information about a vehicle’s damage history or car rental companies sharing their fleet's maintenance history. The .BDM extension is typically found in the root folder of the AVHCD Information File (AVHCD INF). One example of an AVHCD INF would be the Jaguar Land Rover Information File (JLR INF).
