What is AS file?
.AS files are ActionScript files that are saved in Adobe Flash Media Server. They allow the user to create interactive content with animations, transitions, and sound effects. AS file extension is used by Adobe Flash Media Server (FMS) which allows users to create animation, transition and sound effects in their content. An AS file is saved as a .swf which acts as an SWF movie for Macromedia Director which can be played on computers or run on the stage of Adobe Director's Stage Video Component (SVC). The change of format from Flash Video to AS happened in 2004.
