What is TXF file?
TXF is a Tax Exchange file, a file format used by the Internal Revenue Service. The TXF file extension stands for Tax exchange File. This TXF file will open a tax return of a taxpayer who has been selected from the IRS's Master File. The TFX format commonly used as an exchange format to store tax-related data for submission into the United States Internal Revenue Service (IRS). In this paper, we present an experimental evaluation of the new TFX spec as an alternative to XML as it moves toward becoming a standard for exchanging information with tax authorities.
