What is TFW file?
The TFW file extension is a method of creating an open source .TIFF file that can be edited and re-saved. The TFW file format started out as a way for the computer game "World of Warcraft" to create one image per frame. This process was called tiling, which made it easy to make changes to the image before saving. Since then, the format has been used in other games like Minecraft and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
