What is T15 file?
The T15 file is an outdated tax return format that H&R Block currently uses. It was introduced in 1992 as an alternative to the O-File. The T15 is a tool that helps with the analysis of data, analysis of alpha and beta responses, and statistical modeling (Freedman). The most important data found in this file is the demographics information including home location, the number of children in your household, any dependents you have, marital status, number of children living with you, age range for each dependent, income range for each dependent, number of shares your spouse owns in assets like stocks and bonds. This information is useful for specific purposes such as financial aid requirements.
