What is SWA file?
The SWA file extension is a Shockwave Audio file which you can open with a Shockwave Player. You can use them to play audio in your flash application. The .SWA file extension was introduced to the world in 2001 by John Lasseter and Pixar Animation Studios. That year, the company released a short animation called “Lifted” which was played using SWA files. The animation ran for just under 3 minutes and used SWA files for its sound effects. In 2002, Disney released another short film for their website called “Ink and Paint” which also used SWA files as its sound source.
