What is PCM file?
PCM file is a type of digital audio file used in some music recording and TV applications. The audio files are usually exported in the .PCM format. There are several types of PCM files: The most commonly used type is PCM-16, which can be converted from its 16 bit version to a 16 bit audio file with the help of a software package called Vocaloid. This software package manages voice synthesis with 32-bit digital signal processing (DSP) and can thus output any audio sample from a song in .PCM format. For example, when you use Vocaloid to record your voice into an MP3 file, it will automatically convert the recorded sound into a 16-bit PCM file for playback by your computer or other devices that support that format.
