What is OPML file?
The Open Platform for Multimedia Language (OPML) file extension is used to open and save .OPML files. An outline processor markup language file is a compound data file that contains an XML document and an associated collection of key-value pairs. The OPML project was initiated by Microsoft as a way to unify the multimedia authoring markup standard for their product line, Office 2007. Outline Processor Markup Language Files are now often used as a means of storing files that can be opened by different software products such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Illustrator, and InDesign. The OPML File Extension was first introduced in 2006 with the release of Office 2007 batch or office automation software, which uses the .OfficeXML format for its XML documents.
