What is ENL file?
The ENL file extension is a library format developed by EndNote. The ENL file is an XML-based format that allows the content to be edited in a flexible way. An ENL file can also contain metadata, which makes it easier to search for content. One of the advantages of an .ENL repository is that the user can share his/her data with other researchers who are working on similar projects or use similar tools without having to worry about incompatibilities.
